Skipper training harbor and anchor maneuvers

Duration 1 day, several days possible

Course content: Function and role of the skipper, instruction of the crew. Preparation for casting off, putting lines on slip, division of the crew, explanation of commands and feedback. Casting from typical Mediterranean mooring (stern lines and bow lines). Practise turns inside the marina with and without bow thruster. Reverse, mooring stern to. Mooring alongside, explanation and trying out the wheel effect; Mooring at the gas station, casting off in different wind directions, springing in and out. Anchoring: election of anchorage spot and swivel circle, drop anchor and catch up; Mooring and casting off at the buoy; Call the Marineros over the radio.
